48 yr old son diagnosed 9 yrs ago Chronic Paranoid Schizophrenia. Takes only SUPPLEMENTS, doing fine. 7 mo ago contracted OCD, nothing currently helps tried inositol, CBD, COMPULSIN. Main concern is OCD, what can you recommend for OCD, that’s helps?
To answer your question this article gives a good overview on supplements that could help with OCD, hope it’s useful — http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/natural-healing-of-obsessive-compulsive-disorder-ocd/
Secondly, my Dad is of a similar age, has Schizophrenia and is currently going through the process (doctor approved) of slowly coming off his medication.
Just wondering what supplements your son takes and how they’ve helped?
Excellent article. I’ve taken Concerta (methylphenidate) for 6 years or so. Lately, I’ve come to realize that it’s the “high,” if you will, that I chase and not the focus. I’ve made the decision to quit Rx meds for my ADD and go natural. When I’ve taken holidays, I’ve slept better, had more energy, and was more creative. Natural supplements take more time to work but they do work. Thanks again for the info!
