Interested in how to buy Piracetam? More and more people today are becoming interested in trying out Piracetam and other cognitive enhancers to improve their brain power.
Piracetam was actually the very first racetam nootropic ever developed and it remains to this day the most widely used. It was first developed back in 1964 by the Romanian chemist, Corneliu Giurgea.
It is known as a nutraceutical that has the strong potential to help improve memory and a number of other cognitive functions. Many people from all different walks of life are currently using this nootropic in the hopes of helping to better their lives.
Despite this, many people still have questions about how Piracetam works, its uses, benefits, and safety. Here is what you need to know before you buy Piracetam online.

- Promotes neuron health & synaptic plasticity
- Supports memory recall & learning
- Boosts focus, visual perception & attention

The exact mechanism of action for this compound is still not entirely understood. The substance itself is actually a derivative of GABA, a very powerful brain chemical and neurotransmitter.
At the same time, the actual GABA receptors and metabolic system do not appear to be effected when taking Piracetam. Without having any sedative or stimulant side effects, Piracetam does appear to enhance cognitive abilities in a number of areas.
Another less well-known secondary benefit of this compound is the ability to act as a vasodilator and circulatory agent, opening up blood vessels to enhance blood borne substance transportation.
Most researchers think that Piracetam works by modulating specific nerve receptor sites within the brain. Both of these, the AMPA and NMDA receptors, are very important in the learning and memory processes.
As these sites are modulated, Acetylcholine production is also increased (actual production as well as a modulation of the receptor sites). Overall communication between the two hemispheres of the brain is believed to be improved.
Piracetam Uses
Most uses of Piracetam are conducted off-label, since it has not been officially approved within the United States by the FDA as a drug to prevent or treat any conditions. Despite this fact, the compound is available as either a prescription or over-the-counter drug in a number of countries around the world. Internationally many people buy Piracetam for a wide range of uses.
The most common medical use is as a neuroprotective agent for patients before and after a stroke. Piracetam has been seen to help prevent damage to the brain that mainly occurs immediately before and after a stroke.
As an anticoagulant and antithrombotic agent, Piracetam is used in a number of additional therapies concerning the circulatory system.
Research continues on the uses of Piracetam for the treatment of cognitive degeneration and other neurological issues. Many studies have been conducted on the use of Piracetam for the treatment of conditions ranging from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia to ADHD.
While some of the results are promising, it appears to be more effective at dealing with the symptoms rather than the root causes, and more research is still needed.

Benefits of Piracetam
In addition to the medical uses listed above, there are many more people who buy Piracetam for cognitive benefits. Many users have reported an increase in their memory and the ability to learn faster.
These are often accompanied by improved focus and concentration as well as improved reaction times. Most users also report an increase in mental energy and possibly also a feeling of overall well-being.
Many users report that their sensory perception is often enhanced. This is possibly due to the fact that Piracetam increases the efficiency of Acetylcholine production and receptor sites.
As a neuroprotector it may also help to defend against and potentially reduce damage to certain parts of the brain (research continues into these effects related to alcohol abuse). It is also known to be a very powerful antioxidant, helping to rid the brain of waste material and toxins.
Is Piracetam Safe?
As is this case with almost all of the Nootropics, Piracetam is known to be very safe and is regarded as generally very well tolerated.
Some side effects have been reported but these are seen in less than 10 percent of all users and ordinarily confined to those taking amounts well above recommended dosages.
These side effects are usually mild and can include headaches, nausea, fatigue, insomnia, GI issues, and possibly anxiety or depression. Of these, headaches are the most common.
The most commonly suggested reason for Piracetam headaches is that the increased demand for Acetylcholine can lead to the Acetylcholine receptor sites burning out from receiving too little of this neurotransmitter when stores have been depleted. The best way to handle this is by adding a high-quality choline supplement to your regime, such as Alpha GPC or Citicoline to provide the raw materials needed to make Acetylcholine.
Other Piracetam side effects should be handled by either reducing the dose down or discontinuing the product entirely. Another typical side effect, that of tolerance and withdrawal, is not typically noticed with this compound; some users report having taken it every day for months and years at a time.
If you do start to feel like you are having tolerance issues, then consider trying an on/off cycle or switch up the nootropic you are using. Many users who would previously buy Piracetam have reported success using some of the other, more potent racetams such as Aniracetam or Oxiracetam.

- Focus longer, clear brain fog & feel more motivated
- Boost energy, alertnes & memory

Buying Piracetam Online
It is legal to buy Piracetam in the USA and in most other countries. However, you should be aware that it cannot be sold for human consumption as a dietary supplement due to regulations put in place by the FDA.
This is why you will not see it stocked at CVS, Walgreens, GNC, or other major health supplement sources like Amazon and eBay. While you will not find it for sale in stores near you, you will most likely have more luck looking for bulk Piracetam for sale online.
Due to FDA regulations on the sales and labeling of unregulated, unscheduled compounds like Piracetam there are not many online vendors still based in the United States. There are still some specialized online nootropic stores based in the US that sell Racetams, but they are limited. Some users will instead look to import their Piracetam from international vendors based in countries where the sale of Piracetam is legal.
It is important to find a well-trusted source for any nootropics that you buy online. Some websites can seem too good to be true and may ship you a fake product with your order. Other retailers can sell lower quality powders that are not fully concentrated and can contain impurities. Make sure that the company you are purchasing Piracetam from has a number of good reviews or testimonials from satisfied users.
It is possible to buy Piracetam either in powder form or in pill format. However, most of the Piracetam 800 mg pills are considered to be very low in dosage, requiring you to take several at a time to get the suggested dose.
The powder allows a lot more control with your dosing and can make it easier to stack Piracetam with other nootropis. Not only that, it is much cheaper to buy Piracetam in bulk powder form than in pills or capsules. The average price per dose when purchasing Piracetam powder is $0.30 making this one of the cheapest nootropics available for sale.

What is the difference between Priacetam & Anacetram? As the former is so much more expensive – not something I can afford on a regular basis
Thanks for your assistance
Hi Heidi,
We have a comparison of Piracetam vs. Aniracetam at https://nootriment.com/piracetam-vs-aniracetam/
A lot of talk about piracetam, but nowhere how and where to buy it.
Hey Kevin,
Thanks for your comment. Piracetam was banned for sale in the United States as an ingredient in dietary supplements. Because it is considered a synthetic compound, it cannot be sold as an ingredient in supplements and qualifies as a drug. Check out some of the other nootropics instead which are legal to sell in the USA.
