Lactobacillus yogurt refers to any type of yogurt product that is enriched with probiotic bacteria from the Lactobacillus genus.
It is commonly made with the Lactobacillus Acidophilus strain, but may also be produced using Lactobacillus bulgarcus or other related species.
Eating Lactobacillus-enriched yogurt is a good way to supplement the diet with probiotic bacteria, which can confer a positive effect on the digestive system and general health.

Lactobacillus yogurt is a natural health product that poses a low risk of side effects for the majority of individuals. Lactobacillus bacteria occur naturally in yogurt products and are consumed daily by millions of people around the world.
While safe for most healthy adults, certain people with impaired immune systems or those on immunosuppressive medications are recommended to avoid probiotic-enriched yogurts or supplements.
People with SBS (Short Bowel Disease) should not take probiotics.
Probiotic bacteria can interact with antibiotics and should be taken at least two hours apart from each other.
Unless otherwise directed by a medical professional, probiotics should be avoided whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.
Lactobacillus Yogurt is a good source of probiotic bacteria and a healthy way to supplement your daily diet with these health-boosting microoganisms.
However, the number of CFUs in a single yogurt serving is significantly lower than what is found in most probiotic supplements. In some instances, a higher dosage supplement may be more effective than probiotic yogurt products.
