My experience with this supplement has been varied but mostly uninteresting. I’ve tried two different brands…NOW and Himalaya Herbals. The NOW brand gave me a very strange dopamine hallucinatory effect that was very uncomfortable…made my brain fog way worse.
The other brand, Himalaya Herbals (or herbs, can’t remember which), had much cleaner effects and felt altogether okay, but I didn’t have any dramatic boost from it.
Overall, I think Mucuna could be a good fit for some, but I believe my problem is much more than just a typical dopamine deficiency and I think I’ll try Uridine next.
Taking some forms of Macuna seems to give me something like a mild nasal allergy. But taking an enteric coated brand, such as Solaray, doesn’t have that effect on me.
I have been taking nootropics for several years now. I have ADD inattentive type. I love phenylpiracetam, sulbutiamine, and phenibut. Lately I have tried mucuna powder and LOVE how I feel. It’s not racy or overpowering… but it does help me with being more present and ‘going with the flow’. I have worked out a trial schedule so I can rotate the above to help with focus, sense of well being, and just feeling like my chilled out self.

I wanted to know how long does it take to start to have any affect as most vitamins you take take a couple of months to start working in your body.
As the Dr has given me tablets for this and I ready done want to take them I prefer natural ingredients going into my body .
