NeuroFuse is a new entry in the market of pre-formulated nootropic brain supplements. This product contains the key ingredients Vinpocetine, Huperzine A and Bacopa Monnieri.
The supplement previously contained Pikatropin (Picamilon), but has since been reformulated to remove this ingredient. Picamilon has been banned by the FDA for use in dietary supplements.
NeuroFuse is designed to promote mental performance, energy, and alertness, while reducing “perceived stress and anxiety.”
As the website states, it was “Formulated by two Harvard roommates who were looking for an edge over the competition at the world’s most elite university.”
The Neurofuse team says that their product is ideally designed for students, athletes, entrepreneurs, finance professionals and lawyers to increase focus, sharpen memory, improve productivity and enhance decision making capacity.
In this Neurofuse review, we will discuss the ingredients used to design this supplement as well as the results and side effects that the user can expect.

I had the opportunity to try NeuroFuse for one week straight and then used it on several other one-off occasions when engaged in activities that required a high degree of focus and mental processing. Simply put, this stack worked for me.
When taking two capsules at a time, I experienced a distinct increase in mental alertness, concentration load, attention span and diminished susceptibility to fatigue. (Effects were less prominent when using the recommended serving of one capsule at a time.)
It’s also a very well balanced stack and there was no feeling of being overly-stimulated or any associated “energy crash” after taking the product.
This is exactly the kind of balanced lift in mental performance that a solid nootropic stack is supposed to provide. While there are stronger nootropics out there, I can recommend the NeuroFuse stack to anyone looking for an introduction to brain hacking supplements.
In my experience, it is suitable for everyday use and maximal results will be achieved when taking two doses early in the morning followed by a third single pill after lunch. Do not use it after 4 or 5 PM if you intend to go to bed before midnight as the caffeine will keep you up later that you might intend.
My Experience with NeuroFuse
To give you a bit more detail about my experience with NeuroFuse, I should include some background information on what constitutes an average day for me. Eight years ago as a university student, I could readily find a chair, sit down and start working at 6 PM in the evening with a Red Bull and not move until 10 hours later at 4 AM with a finished essay.
My ability (and desire) to pull those marathon work sessions has steadily declined since then and I find I need to break up my day into shorter periods to maintain peak mental clarity and focus.
I spend between 4 – 5 hours a day writing and editing articles and another 3 – 4 hours a day on various computer-related tasks. When I’m not using any nootropics, I typically break up my day into three or four work sessions of between 90 – 120 minutes each to ensure my productivity remains high.
I will generally go for a walk, do some light exercise or take care of other errands in the in-between times to regenerate my concentration levels.
Using NeuroFuse made it significantly easier to maintain intense concentrations and enhanced my perception of mental clarity. The most telling result I saw while taking the NeuroFuse supplement was an increase in the duration of time I found myself able to be productive for. Four hours after taking one capsule, I was still “in the zone” with a clear mind and no lack of mental energy.
I also made note of the fact that my thoughts were flowing easier, I experienced less “mental hesitation” and spent less time looking for the right word or searching my memory for obscure facts. NeuroFuse did not give me the kind of “tunnel vision” one track mind focus of a supplement like Pramiracetam or Phenylpiracetam.
But it did make it distinctly easier to get through my to-do list in a shorter period of time and I did feel that my thoughts were more coherent with less mental strain.
NeuroFuse Ingredients
So what are the ingredients in this supplement that can deliver these results?
NeuroFuse provides a proprietary blend of 12 natural ingredients, all of which have been demonstrated to improve brain power, memory, reasoning and neural health.
The ingredients are: Huperzine A, Vinpocetine, Pikatropin (Picamilon), Bacopa Monnieri, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Vitamin D3, Caffeine Anhydrous, DMAE Bitartrate, Choline Bitartrate, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Phosphatidylserine.
Huperzine A, Vinpocetine and Bacopa Monnieri should be familiar to anyone who has researched herbal nootropics. Together, these compounds increase acetylcholine levels, promote greater blood flow to the brain and support enhanced electrical signalling in the brain. Picamilon is a lesser known supplement that is a combination of GABA and Niacin for improved mood and control of stress and anxiety.
There are a lot of people in the nootropic community who do not think that Picamilon produces significant results, however I have always liked this ingredient personally and I think it helps to quiet my mind to some degree.
Caffeine Anhydrous is included in this stack to boost energy, alertness and focus. Some users do not like taking caffeine due to tolerance and side effects such as jitters and restless so this is something to weigh before buying Neurofuse.
The other ingredients such as Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Vitamin D3, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Phosphatidylserine are all important nutrients to keep your brain cells healthy and balance neurotransmitter levels.
Finally DMAE Bitartrate and Choline Bitartrate both supply choline to the brain which is necessary for the synthesis of acetylcholine. On a per dosage basis, these compounds provide less choline across the blood-brain barrier compared to Alpha GPC and CDP Choline (Citicoline).
Ideally, NeuroFuse would use these superior cholinergic supplements, but this is relatively easy to correct by taking a standalone dosage of Alpha GPC for pennies a day.
NeuroFuse Dosages
Unfortunately, because it is a proprietary blend we do not know the exact dosages used in this stack. We do know that there is 555 mg of active ingredient and according to the literature on the site, there is “enough for each ingredient to be effective on its own if isolated.”
However, given the recommended dosages of the ingredients listed above it would be difficult to squeeze all of them into this supplement at the right amounts with only 555 mg of the proprietary blend.
For example, the supplement uses Bacopa Monnieri with 20% Bacosides extract. The recommended dosage for this supplement alone is 750 mg a day. For Choline Bitartrate the suggested dosage is 500 mg, for DMAE Bitartrate it is 100 mg, for Picamilon it is 50 mg and Phosphatidylserine comes in at 300 mg.
While these ingredients do have some synergistic effects that can potentiate smaller doses, in general I think you need two capsules to really see significant results from the NeuroFuse stack.
Comparison to Alpha Brain
As is the case with all new cognitive enhancement supplements to hit the market, the comparisons to Alpha Brain by Onnit Labs are inevitable. So how does NeuroFuse stack up? Four of the five major ingredients – Vinpocetine, Huperzine A, Bacopa Monnieri and Phosphatidylserine – can also be found in the Alpha Brain stack.
The main difference in formulation is the presence of Pikatropin in NeuroFuse as well as the combination of DMAE Bitartrate and Choline Bitartrate instead of Alpha GPC. NeuroFuse also uses caffeine instead of the L-Tyrosine provided by Alpha Brain for energy, mental drive and focus.
Buy NeuroFuse
If you are interested in giving NeuroFuse a try, they offer a 10 day free trial consisting of 10 pills on their site. You are only required to pay for shipping if you opt to take advantage of the trial. Be careful when you are ordering as the default option involves signing up for the monthly re-billing program. However, you can also click an option to purchase single bottles and not register for the “Continuity Program.”
You can purchase a 1 month supply consisting of 30 pills for $59.99 with free shipping. A 2 month supply of 60 capsules is available for $99.99. This pricing makes Neurofuse on the high end compared to other nootropic stacks out there and, in my experience, a 30 pill supply will more likely last 2 – 3 weeks than a full month.
The other factor to consider is that the ingredients of this stack can be purchased in bulk for much lower prices. If you were inclined, you could get a cheap capsule machine and make your own caps for a fraction of the cost. However, there is definitely a convenience cost to going this method and for the average user it will not make sense to spend that much time.
To conclude, Neurofuse uses well-respected nootropic ingredients that have been demonstrated to improve cognitive, focus, memory and learning. For me, the supplement did produce positive results and it would be well worth it to take advantage of the 10 day free trial to see if it works for you too.

Based on your knowledge of the nootropics and other compounds used in NeuroFuse, would you consider this supplement safe to take alongside methylphenidate/dexmethylphenidate ADD/ADHD drugs? I ask this because when I have an extremely demanding workload (which can be often), I wish to achieve additional mental clarity beyond simply “normalizing” my ADD/ADHD. However, I do not want to consider messing with my medication dosage. Is it safe to consider pursuing NeuroFuse? (Naturally, I will ask my physician, but any knowledgeable input is always appreciated)
Do not buy this product. First off, the effects are what you should expect from a coffee nothing more. Alternatively, I have tried another comparable supplement and actually felt good results.
Worse yet is the company. I did a trial, then I decided the product didn’t work but by then they had charged me for a $80 monthly supply. I called to tell them I didn’t want the product, they said I could just ship it back and they would refund me. 3 weeks later I call about the refund. The company says because I failed to put some MRE number on the package, they are unable to give a refund. In my two prior calls, never was there a mention of a MRE number I needed to put on. Long story short, they have their shitty product back, and I am out the $80 with them offering no help whatsoever.
Terrible slimy company, far better products out there.
