Noopept is a synthetic member of the Racetam supplement family that is structurally similar to both Piracetam and endogenous dipeptides (amino acid constituents) within the brain.
Although the effects of this supplement seem to be relatively similar to Piracetam, it is reported to be 1000 times more potent.
This is primarily due to its much higher level of bioactivity. Because of this, Noopept powder users must be much more careful in their dosing practices.
Ensuring that you have the right Noopept dosage will mean the difference between optimal results or a potential bad reaction.

Although the exact mechanisms of action are not fully understood (as is the case for most of the Nootropic supplement category), it is believed that Noopept acts in a similar fashion to that of other Racetams.
This means modulating both the AMPA and NDMA receptor sites, along with their pathways of function.
The supplement also has a significant effect on Acetylcholine system, including their Ach receptor sites within the brain.
Similar to other Racetams like Aniracetam, Noopept powder does have an anti-anxiety effect on many users. Of course, it should be noted that not everyone sees these effects.
If your primary purpose for taking these supplements is to reduce stress and anxiety levels, than Aniracetam would probably be a better option.
Another method of action is the stimulation of dopamine and the aforementioned Ach nicotinic receptor sites as well as possibly being able to stimulate a number of Serotonin receptors.
There is a growing body of research to suggest that Noopept may develop into a possible treatment for Alzheimer’s and a number of related cognitive and nerve conditions. Human studies at this point are very limited, and a large amount of the Noopept research is conducted in Russian (since it was originally developed in Russia).
In a number of the tests conducted on lab rats, nerve growth factor was increased after administration which leads many to think that it may be possible to repair damaged cells and receptor sites. This is the type of damage commonly seen in conditions like Alzheimer’s disease.

Noopept Usage and Benefits:
This supplement is used as a general Nootropic in many countries around the world. It is easily obtainable for most people, even though it may be a bit more expensive than other common Nootropics.
Most users note the enhanced effects upon cognition and many doctors even prescribe Noopept dosages to help reduce the symptoms of neurological disease.
A number of studies and user reports have indicated that Noopept is effective at enhancing memory, learning and even improving the speed of recall. This is particularly effective at improving long-term memory, unlike Piracetam that only seems to work on the early stages of memory formation and recall.
It is also thought be very neuroprotective, capable of potentially preventing brain damage due to oxidative stress and apoptosis.
Noopept has also been shown to increase the levels of nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in lab tests. NGF is believed to be responsible for the growth and survival of certain types of neurons; BDNF helps to keep existing neurons in good health and encourages growth and specialization of new neurons a synapses.
It is these two factors that are leading to new ideas about how to help patients suffering from Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ADHD, and other neurological conditions. It is also the main reason why many researchers are now suggesting that some Nootropics may have long lasting positive effects on the brain even after use has been discontinued.
The supplement is also thought to help in additional ways. This includes being able to form associative connections between both hemispheres of the brain. In other words, it helps to improve neuronal communication, aiding in the improvement of memory, recall, and even creativity.
It also acts as an anti-oxidant, helping to remove toxins and excess calcium from the brain and body. In many cases, Noopept is also able to reverse damage dealt to cognitive functions that have resulted from brain injury and a number of other factors.

- Focus longer, clear brain fog & feel more motivated
- Boost energy, alertnes & memory
- Contains 12 safe and natural nootropic ingredients
Noopept Safety and Side Effects:
The supplement has been determined to be safe in clinical trials. At the recommended dosage levels, Noopept has also been shown to be effective and low in overall toxicity.
At the moment, there does not seem to be the risk of dangerous overdoses, although this substance is very powerful and care should be taken to stay within the recommended levels.
The likelihood of overdose, therefore, is much higher than with members of the Racetam family. At higher doses, users may experience some or all of the following side effects: headache, insomnia, fatigue, nausea, gastrointestinal issues.
Please understand that side effects are likely to vary according to the user. If going over the recommended dosage, there may be additional interactions with other medications or supplements (although this would be EXTREMELY rare). Always check with a doctor or qualified medical professional before using Noopept.
Some studies (animal) have even suggested that the positive effects of Noopept build up and grow stronger over time, although it is way too early to state this definitively. It is also interesting to consider whether or not tolerance can be developed.
Although it is unlikely that any serious dependence or other problems would result even if tolerance was possible it may be a good idea to consider cycling on and off of Noopept.
Noopept Dosage Guide
The typical Noopept dose falls between 10 mg and 40 mg taken up to three times a day. You should determine the best dosage for yourself by starting with a smaller amount at first and only increasing if you feel comfortable doing so.
Some people will feel powerful effects even with a 10 mg Noopept dosage while others will need a larger quantity for it to kick in. Because Noopept increases alertness and blood flow to the brain, it is recommended that you do not use this compound late in the evening if you want a full night of sleep.
Some reviewers recommend cycling their Noopept dosage schedule to improve its effectiveness, but this has not been proven necessary so far. In fact, because the effects of this nootropic is cumulative in its effects, taking it in consistent dosages over a long period of time may give you better results.
The Noopept dosages suggested here are intended for using this supplement on its own, but many people will try a Noopept Stack to combine this brain enhancer with other nootropics.
It is common to use Noopept with Alpha GPC, Citicoline, Piracetam, Pramiracetam, Adrafinil and a wide range of other nootropics. Read more about these supplements in order to decide upon the best Noopept stack for you.
If you do use Noopept with other nootropics, you may want to take a smaller dose to prevent over-stimulation. While some people have safely experimented with Noopept Mega Doses, this is a potentially dangerous practice and you should not exceed the recommended dosing schedule.
Effects on Sleep
A number of users report that taking a dosage of Noopept late in the day can cause interruptions to normal sleep patterns and make it difficult to fall asleep.
This nootropic does exhibit stimulatory effects in some users, resulting in rapid thoughts and increased mental arousal. If taken late in the day, it may produce a “hangover” effect the following morning where the user feels lethargic, tired and unable to focus.
However, there have also been users who report that taking a dosage one hour before bedtime can improve sleep. In studies on patients with cerebrovascular disorder, there was a significant improvement in sleep quality reported.
Some users also report that taking a dose before bedtime can lead to more vivid dreams and nightmares as well as lower sleep quality. One individual reported that a megadose of this compound resulted in very disturbing dreams.
Interesting, a number of users have reported that this nootropic reduces their need to sleep. Some have said that taking a dosage of noopept along with other nootropics during the day can make them feel well-rested and alert even after only 5 or 6 hours of sleep at night.
If you are prone to experiencing insomnia and other sleep disorders, it may be more likely to cause adverse effcts on sleep latency due to the stimulating properties. It is best to be cautious and not take Noopept before bed until you have a chance to observe how it affects you.

It says :The typical Noopept dose falls between 10 mg and 40 mg taken up to three times a day. ”
Does this mean 10-40 mg total, split into 3 times a day? Or does it mean 10-40 mg each time?
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the question. Most users take 10-40mg each time, with a maximum of three administrations each day.
Is it essential to take it everyday, or can I just take it on the days i want to revise?
Do I suppose to take noopept with choline ?
in reddid people took 45mg noopept and 20mg sunifiram
why is that
i thought the dosage is 40mg max?
Hello,
Thanks for your question! 10 – 40 mg is the recommended dosage range, but in some cases people will take more using either a mega-dose or after titration to determine the most effective dosage for themselves. I hope that makes sense :)
Good morning. I just bought the Noopept and understand the dosage, but my question is how do you take, do you mix it with tea, water or do you just put the powder in your mouth? This is the only thing I cannot seem to find out on this product and would love any guidance you can provide. Thank you.
HI Nicole,
Thanks for your question! I personally take Noopept sublingually, which means placing the powder under your tongue for about 30 seconds and letting it dissolve. Lots of other people take it by mixing it into juices or other liquids. It is also possible to get Noopept in capsules if you find the taste to be bitter.
Is it safe to take 15-20mg daily ? meaning everyday
