If you have been hearing about the benefits of Piracetam and have decided to try it out for yourself, one pressing question might remain in your mind: where can you buy it?
Piracetam is not something that traditional nutrition retailers like GNC carry, nor is it something you can find in any local drug store such as Walmart, Costco, Walgreens, or CVS.
Up until recently, you could find it from e-commerce websites in the USA, but Piracetam has now been banned from Amazon and eBay and they have pulled all listings for the product. Why was it removed and where can you legally obtain Piracetam online?

Piracetam is a nootropic substance that has been observed to assist in brain functions that are typically linked with intelligence. It can prime your brain to be more plastic, allowing you to learn with greater ease and develop better memory retrieval.
It has a particularly potent effect on fluid intelligence which correlates strongly with working memory capacity and the ability to perform permutations and observe patterns between data.
This compound is also noted for improving overall mood and making it easier to concentrate or study for long periods of time.
Unlike more prevalent smart drugs such as Adderall and Ritalin, Piracetam is non-stimulative and has no toxicity and low risk of side effects to the brain. Some research has suggested that it may even be effective in the treatment of certain cognitive disorders.
As impressive as this compound’s positive attributes are, it has been eschewed by the FDA which does not acknowledge a place for nootropics in the American supplement and drug market.
While Piracetam has been used for years as either a prescription or over-the-counter drug in other countries around the world, in the United States the FDA has not approved Piracetam as a drug to prevent or treat any conditions. Piracetam also does not meet the qualifications of a dietary supplement in the US.
However, under US law, it is legal to purchase, own, and use Piracetam with no fear of penalty. It is an unregulated substance and you will not find it scheduled in the federal Controlled Substances Act.
So why can’t you buy it on Amazon? The problems begin with how Piracetam is marketed by companies who choose to sell it in the US for human consumption. This is where the FDA enters the picture.

FDA on Piracetam
Up until 2010, several health supplement companies sold and marketed products containing Piracetam either in a stack or as an individual ingredient. But in August 2010, the FDA sent a cease and desist letter to a single supplier ordering them to stop selling this compound as a dietary supplement.
Piracetam (also known as 2-oxo-pyrrolidone) is a derivative of the body’s natural neurotransmitter GABA, but it itself is synthetically made. In other words, it was invented in a lab and does not exist in the diet naturally.
The FDA has a very strict definition for what actually qualifies as a nutritional supplement. This policy is laid out in section 201(ff)(1) of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. § 321(ff)(1).
It states that a dietary supplement must be one of the following: a vitamin, mineral, amino acid, herbal extract, botanical compound or a concentrate, metabolite, constituent, extract or combination of a dietary ingredient. Piracetam is none of these things and therefore does not qualify under FDA regulations to be called a supplement.
What, then, is Piracetam according to the FDA? They consider it to be pharmacologically active and as such it falls into the category of being a drug. However, Piracetam sits in a gray area since it is unregulated and unscheduled.
But even though Piracetam has proven effective as a cognitive enhancer in study after study and is considered less toxic than table salt, the FDA has not approved Piracetam as a drug.
This is because the FDA only gives regulatory approval to drugs intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent diseases. Using a drug just to increase your brainpower does not fit under the FDA’s policy definition.
And even though many other countries have made Piracetam available as a prescription or over-the-counter drug, this is not likely to happen in the USA. However, Piracetam currently is on the FDA’s list of Investigational New Drugs (IND), and possibly new research will be commissioned to eventually allow for an official ruling on Piracetam’s status.

Piracetam on Amazon and eBay
Despite the 2010 ruling, many nootropic suppliers on Amazon continued to sell this product and simply refrained from marketing it for human consumption.
It was sold either as a research compound or as a raw ingredient – two practices which the FDA does not regulate. This continued on and for a couple of years was an easy and convenient way to purchase bulk Piracetam powder.
However, in December 2012, all of the Amazon listing for Piracetam disappeared off this website and vendors explained that they were not allowed to add it back.
This was most likely a precautionary measure taken by Amazon or its payment processors as opposed to being the direct result of an FDA action. What this means is you now cannot buy Piracetam on Amazon or even in the eBay marketplace.
What is interesting is that many other Piracetam derivatives in the Racetam family still remain available on Amazon and eBay. For example, Noopept, Oxiracetam, Pramiracetam and Phenylpiracetam continue to be sold on this website.
Aniracetam, which is a slightly stronger version of Piracetam, has been removed, but can still be found under some of its other names. This speaks to a general lack of consistent policy when it comes to nootropics.
Regardless of the intricacies of FDA laws for labeling and selling this compound, if you want to buy Piracetam in the USA, it is still legal to purchase and there are some specialized online vendors from which you can buy the pure powder from. Piracetam is also available from numerous international vendors and it is legal to import for personal use.

It’s part of the industry’s agenda to remove all access to free-thought, free-health, and free-energy.
It is a shame that amazon and ebay have banned piracetam. Don’t those guys know that piracetam, in comnbination with 2 other products, develop the brain to it’s full extent. FDA, according to me, is an idiotic or moron agency, and they go on banning all that is good to human beings and support all those products which are harmful to the human beings
Hi. can you please specify the 2 other products.
