Two of the most frequently used nootropics today are Piracetam and Modafinil, with both offering distinct benefits for cognition.
While they are both reported to improve memory, learning, processing, attention span and energy, they have slightly different methods of action.
As a result, Piracetam and Modafinil are good candidates for stacking together to produce synergistic effects. The Piracetam Modafinil Stack is ideal for individuals who want to both enhance the way their brain works and experience higher levels of concentration and mental drive.
What is the best way to use a Piracetam Modafinil Stack and what are the anticipated effects and side effects of this nootropic stack?
It should be noted that in the USA, Piracetam is an unregulated, unscheduled compound. While Piracetam has been used for years as either a prescription or an over-the-counter drug in various countries around the world, in the United States the FDA has not approved Piracetam as a drug to prevent or treat any conditions. It also does not meet the qualifications of a dietary supplement and cannot be labeled or sold as one.
It is legal to buy and own Piracetam for personal use, however due to FDA laws surrounding the sales, distribution, and labeling of compounds like Piracetam when labeled for human consumption, finding it for sale in the US can be difficult. There are some specialized nootropic stores online that sell it, however the number of vendors is limited. Instead, many people will import from countries where the sale of Piracetam is legal.
In the United States Modafinil is a schedule IV controlled substance. It is available as a prescription drug only, and is prescribed primarily for sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, and sleep apnea.
In the US availability and usage is limited due to concerns about addiction, and it is only legal to possess and use Modafinil with a prescription. In most other countries Modafinil is a prescription drug but not otherwise legally restricted.

Piracetam Introduction
Related Topics
Piracetam (Nootropil) was the first ever Nootropic created, having been developed in Europe in 1964. Piracetam is the parent compound that all other Racetam nootropics are derived from.
While its potency is not as strong as other Racetams, Piracetam is still considered to be very effective for a number of uses and different users. It works best for people who have never tried nootropic compounds before, but it is also excellent for using in a stack.
Piracetam provides a very broad range of effects that make up the typical nootropic experience with no major strengths in any one category. It is a great overall brain booster, though if you are looking for more targeted effects, you might want to upgrade to a stronger Racetam like Aniracetam, Oxiracetam or Pramiracetam.
However, this apparent weakness is what makes Piracetam perfect for stacking with Modafinil and other highly potent cognitive enhancers.
Benefits Of Piracetam
Despite its lower potency, Piracetam still has a rather large following behind it and remains the most popular Racetam today. Piracetam effects do tend to take longer to develop than other nootropics and it may be a week or two before they become really noticeable.
One of the first things that new Piracetam users may experience is enhanced sensory perception. This means that your senses of sight, smell, and touch may be improved. Sometimes this can be considerable and may include an increased vibrancy of colors or greater resonance of sound.
Another reported benefit of Piracetam is improved memory and expanded learning capacity. For many, this is the main reason they take Piracetam in the first place. These benefits can be very subtle like remembering little things or long forgotten details. Or, it may be much more pronounced such as being able to listen to a long lecture and recall specific detail precisely later.
Many users have also reported being able to study better and retain more of what they have learned while using this nootropic. You may also feel like you have better comprehension of what you are learning and it is easier to connect the dots between related topics.
Motivation and mental drive may also be improved through the use of Piracetam. Sometimes there is great enhancement in energy levels due to better oxygen and glucose supply in the brain. A common sentiment in Piracetam reviews is that it helps users to becoming more productive by improving focus and reducing fatigue associated with working.
Piracetam is also associated with a mild mood improvement effect and some people use it to relieve stress and anxiousness, though many people choose to use Aniracetam instead because these effects are said to be stronger with this Racetam.

Modafinil Introduction
Modafinil is a much newer and more powerful entrant into the class of Nootropics. It has a method of action that is quite different from most of the other Nootropics, targeting energy levels and concentration ability.
Modafinil is a prescription drug in the USA so you can either speak to your doctor to acquire some or purchase Adrafinil instead which converts into Modafinil and does not require a prescription. Adrafinil is an unscheduled, unregulated compound like Piracetam, so it is legal to buy and own in the US, but is really only available from some specialized nootropic stores online.
Modafinil is believed to work by affecting histamine levels in the brain to promote greater alertness and wakefulness. It was actually initially developed for the treatment of narcolepsy and other sleep disorders that can make you fatigued and feeling drained during the day. Many off-label users of this drug take it to optimize their productivity and help them function at a higher level even on low amounts of sleep.
Benefits of Modafinil
The benefits of this drug center on energy, concentration, and alertness. It has the effect of not only normalizing sleep patterns but also helping sleep deprived users to function normally during the day. Many users say that a single 200mg pill can keep you energized for up to 14 hours at a time.
When used off-label for nootropic purposes, some users have described the Modafinil experience as if you have blinders on and can only focus on the task at hand. Your perception of time passing may be diminished and you can sit for long hours working on a single project.
It is a stimulant, but with less risk of side effects in comparison to ADHD drugs like Adderall. Users also report having better mood, more ambition, and stronger confidence thanks to Modafinil.
Modafinil has been tested to improve mental performance in individuals such as shift workers or people with excessive daytime fatigue. When you are more alert and more aware, your memory, reasoning and learning skills will all be at their best.
However, Modafinil itself does not affect the underlying systems that lead to long-term memory improvement. It also does not have a neuroprotective effect and you can get burned out or possibly addicted if you use it too much. This is why it is best to take as an occasional nootropic instead of on an everyday basis.
This is also why many people choose to use it with a cognitive enhancement nootropic like Piracetam. When you stack Modafinil with Piracetam, it is thought that you may amplify the effects of this drug by working on two different brain boosting pathways at once.

- Focus longer, clear brain fog & feel more motivated
- Boost energy, alertnes & memory
- Contains 12 safe and natural nootropic ingredients
Piracetam Modafinil Stack
Taking two or more Nootropics in combination is known as stacking.
This practice has been used by athletes for a number of years. The idea is that combining two compounds may give you the benefits of both while also synergizing to actually intensify the benefits.
In the case of a Piracetam and Modafinil stack, there are a number of synergistic benefits possible. Piracetam works by modulating or changing the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine within the brain, while Modafinil works by affecting the neurotransmitters Dopamine, GABA, and Glutamate.
When taken together, you can not only achieve a wider range of positive effects, but also possibly stronger effects. Piracetam may improve your memory, sensory perceptions and reasoning, while Modafinil may improve your mood and give you increased focus, attention, and energy.
With Piracetam, based on research and user reviews, most new users will start with doses of 800 mg to 1.6 grams, 2 or 3 times per day. It would be a good idea to use Piracetam for at least two weeks on its own before adding in any additional nootropics or complementary supplements.
After using for at least two weeks without negative effects, you may want to slowly increase the dosage up to as much as 4 grams per dosage 2 to 3 times per day. Most users will add a choline supplement like Alpha GPC or CDP Choline to help improve effects and prevent Acetylcholine depletion related headaches.
Headaches are the most commonly reported side effects of Piracetam. It is generally a well tolerated nootropic with side effects rarely being reported. Other rare but sometimes reported side effects include agitation, confusion, dizziness, vertigo, and weight gain.
Once you have determined that Piracetam is working for you and you are not experiencing any negative side effects, it is safe to add Modafinil. Make sure you speak to your doctor before taking this prescription drug to make sure it is right for you.
For Modafinil, it is usually suggested that a 200 mg pill be cut in half and taken in the morning. New users are always advised to start out with the lowest possible effective dose.
The Modafinil Piracetam stack can be very effective when used properly, but remember to be safe and always do your research ahead of time.

I’ll try to use piracetam modafinil stack
How bout piracetam and adrafinil stack?..Same effects right?
Hi JohnJohn,
Yes Adrafinil has a similar effect profile compared to Modafinil, though there are differences based on the time it takes for it to be metabolized by the liver (meaning longer onset of effects) and lower potency.
