Side Effects of Ribose Supplements
As humans manufacture their own D-ribose, and it occurs prevalently in nature, supplementation is known to be generally safe for most people. However, it can cause a reduction in blood sugar levels or blood pressure levels in some individuals.
Pregnant women and those with upcoming surgery schedules are not well suited for D-ribose supplementation. Anyone with Diabetes Mellitus Type II, low blood pressure issues and/or kidney/liver disease should not use ribose supplements.
