I don’t have much trouble falling asleep but tend to have restless sleep patterns: tossing and turning, frequent waking during the night, trouble falling back asleep, etc. I took melatonin for 4 nights straight (30-45 minutes before bed) in the hope of sorting this out. Instead, I suffered from insomnia for 4 nights straight, couldn’t fall asleep despite being exhausted during the day. I’d take the melatonin but as soon as my head hit the pillow it seemed my mind went into overdrive and I couldn’t slow it down or stop the constant stream of thoughts. Am I just weird?
I was taking 5mg
