Unifiram is a relatively new nootropic drug that just might be one of the most powerful brain supplements ever invented.
According to an article in Drug Development Research, this compound boasts a potency approximately 1,000 times greater than currently available nootropics like Piracetam and Aniracetam.
Studies have shown that Unifiram has a highly positive effect on memory and cognitive activity similar to those exhibited by the more popular Racetams.
Unifiram is closely related to Sunifiram and performs at a similar brain boosting level for the same dosage size. Due to the limited availability of Unifiram, most people will take Sunifiram as a suitable replacement for this more expensive compound.

- Stimulates AMPA receptors in the brain
- Promotes focus & mental energy
- Enhances growth of synapses between neurons
How does Unifiram Powder Work?
Related Topics
Unifiram is a positive allosteric modulator of your AMPA receptors (also known as ?-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid receptors).
As an Ampakine, Unifiram effects glutamate uptake in the brain causing better synaptic transmission between neurons.
Unifiram also stimulates acetylcholine production making its mechanism of action very similar to Noopept, Pramiraceta, Oxiracetam and other racetam nootropics.
There has been less research into Unifiram than its counterpart Sunifiram, but these two chemicals are closely related and believed to work in almost identical ways.
Effects and Side Effects of Unifiram
What exactly are the benefits of taking Unifiram? Like the Racetams, Unifiram is believed to improve learning, memory, concentration, mental energy and basic cognition.
We know that increased levels of glutamate and acetylcholine improves the health of your brain cells and makes it easier for neurons to send signals between them.
This can result in better processing of information, more clarity of thought, anti-amnesiac effects and improved attention span.
In initial studies, Unifiram seems to offer significantly stronger results compared to other nootropics, however more studies should be conducted before this supplement enters widespread use. The first studies on Unifiram were only published in 2002 so research history is quite limited.
That being said, what we do know from the studies that have been conducted so far is very exciting. In a research trial conducted on rats exposed to a Morris Water Maze, a small dosage of Unifiram was able to reverse the effects of an amnesiac drug administered to the rats.
Taking Unifiram increased their ability to remember the right path to navigate the maze and also improved performance on a social learning test.
This caused the researchers to proclaim Unifiram as a safe novel cognition enhancer that could perform similarly to Piracetam at doses that were 1,000 times smaller.
Little is known about Unifiram side effects so far due to a lack of research, but initial studies have found it to be safe just like other nootropics.
More is known about Sunifiram side effects which again are very mild with headaches, increased perspiration and restlessness being among the most common.
Some people who have taken these compounds suggest that starting with a smaller dosage and building up your tolerance is a good way to avoid negative side effects.
Buy Unifiram Powder in Bulk
While you can purchase Unifiram from some international suppliers, it is unfortunately difficult to find and you often have to purchase it in large minimum orders.
Most people who are interested in the benefits of Unifiram ultimately end up buying Sunifiram instead. The primary reason for this is that these two nootropic powders offer very similar effects and potencies but Unifiram is usually much more expensive than Sunifiram.
Unifiram is a lot harder to synthesize in a lab and this increased manufacturing cost results in a higher price for consumers. Sunifiram can be bought for approximately $40 for 2 grams which works out to about $40 for 400 dosages of 5 mg.
